Robléon Summer Vineyard Report

The 2011 vintage has had some strange weather with lots of wind and rain in June, not the norm for California.  Jim Fiolek, who heads the Santa Barbara County Vintner's association, says the weather is causing plenty of headaches, but that's just part of the business.  The weather may reduce the amount of production but the grapes produced should be high-quality. We at Robléon are watching our estate Syrah vineyard closely as 2011 will be the first vintage for this vineyard. We held off production last year to allow these vines to age a little longer. The vines are looking excellent.
